So I have a deep history with advent calendars, especially of the Star Wars Lego variety. This year, I decided to mix things up a bit by going with the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation advent calendar.
Well, in what has become something of a TikTok subculture, I got the "fake" version (despite ordering from Wal-Mart). As you can see from the picture above, the rendering and, er, craftsmanship, is somewhat wanting.
Here is my best interpretation of what has been unveiled thus far:
Day 1: Demented, out-of-scale squirrel (it's the size of a bear based on other reveals)
Day 2: Terrifying, ghost-white Audrey, with a random Jelly of the Month Club printout
Day 3: Reindeer with severe shoulder injuries, ostensibly from being kicked by Clark W. Griswold
Day 4: Present with cat tail sticking out (from Aunt Bethany)
Day 5: Hockey-mask Clark
I'm hoping the knockoff charm will start to grow on me through the holiday season, but right now I'm just missing the Star Wars Lego calendar.
And focusing on my "12 Days of IPA" advent calendar that I received as solace ...
