A place to give thanks
And refuel our tanks
To hear the wave pound
And get lost in the sound
Forever the Outer Banks

Sunlight amidst the rains
A beacon between the pains
A different experience
Full of experiments
But part of us remains

Ignorance does soar
In every bar, beach, and store
So the cases skyrocket
With lawsuits on the docket
Protect us from ourselves, we implore

The situation gets dumber
A colossal social bummer
Now there's no school
Or any safe pool
Here comes the summer
